HardChargers

Described as “Dirty blues from Belfast”, the band formed in late 2009, with a strong selection of original songs, forming the bulk of the band’s live sets. The HardChargers music is raunchy, exciting, provocative and honest, ranging from down-home washboard/resonator/double bass workouts, to a heady blend of twangy electric blues and roadhouse style rock, complimenting their original output with unique arrangements of prime cuts by trailblazers such as Son House, Elmore James and Lonnie Mack.

“High-octane and close in pitch to those very early Fleetwood Mac records”… “May even prove to be a collector’s item”… “Suitably manic and certainly one to clear the cobwebs”, describing the original songs as “worthy comparators to the Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters covers”
Blues Matters

“If you like your Whiskey straight, and your women crooked, this band is for you!”

The Ronnie Greer Band

One of the justifiable legends of the Northern Ireland music scene, A superb blues and jazz guitarist, his fingers have added passion and fire to some of the greatest blues bands in the country, including for a time the legendary Jim Daly Blues Band and a host of others. Ronnie never fails to wring the last drop of emotion out of a solo, while still keeping the toes tapping. As a sideman and front man, Ronnie has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the business – including the likes of Dr. John, Lowell Fulson, Phil Guy, Johnny Mars, Phillip Walker and many more. while Greer’s own original composition – ‘Going down to Clarksdale’ is a tribute to his musical heroes, the Mississippi bluesmen, such as Muddy Waters, Magic Sam and Otis Spann who left behind the oppression of their native state to start a new life creating the new fangled, Electric Blues in Chicago clubs such as Kingston Mines. The album includes great sleeve notes from respected Jazz and Blues writer Trevor Hodgett that sum up perfectly Ronnie’s magnificent career. An absolute delight of an album and a must have for local fans of the world’s greatest music

The Revolutionaires

Established within the ‘hotbed’ of the North East music scene in the UK, they power out jumpin’ hot rhythm & blues in their own indomitable hard hitting style.
Primarily, they are influenced by 1940’s and 1950’s R&B. In particular, Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner, Little Richard, Chuck Berry and Roy Brown, but have adopted a harder and more aggressive approach, synonymous with modern blues artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Mike Henderson which helps create their own high energy sound.
