For the 2014 lineup and videos of artists the 2014 archive for the Blues Trail
Described as “Dirty blues from Belfast”, the band formed in late 2009, with a strong selection of original songs, forming the bulk of the band’s live sets. The HardChargers music is raunchy, exciting, provocative and honest, ranging from down-home washboard/resonator/double bass workouts, to a heady blend of twangy electric blues and roadhouse style rock, complimenting their original output with unique arrangements of prime cuts by trailblazers such as Son House, Elmore James and Lonnie Mack.
“High-octane and close in pitch to those very early Fleetwood Mac records”… “May even prove to be a collector’s item”… “Suitably manic and certainly one to clear the cobwebs”, describing the original songs as “worthy comparators to the Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters covers”
“If you like your Whiskey straight, and your women crooked, this band is for you!”
Sinister’ Pete Vamos
